If you like to relax in beautiful surroundings

and like to combine your stay with different day trips, there are several possibilities: => walk along the nearby Kirchsee [Photo], or the Lanker See,  go on a boat trip along the Schwentine, and enjoy untouched nature, visit the open-air museum in Molfsee, or the navy museum, and submarine in Laboe. You can also go on a boat trip on the great Ploener See, or the Kellersee (including a visit of the glassblowing manufactory in Malente), or enjoy the trip on the 5-Seen-Fahrt (Ploen - Malente and back).

The Preetz Paper Theater Festival is worth a visit, too.
